Google Fined 18 Million

Search engine giant Google has been fined more than Tk 1,500 crore. South Korea has reportedly fined the company ৭৭ 17 million. The Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) announced the fine on Tuesday (September 14th). Google's Android operating system is used in 80 percent of mobile phones worldwide. Google has made arrangements so that local smartphone makers cannot modify this popular Android operating system. 

                                                                                   

And here is South Korea's objection. After Google, Apple is another US technology company controlling the market of mobile operating system. South Korea recently passed a law to curb the hegemonic behavior of Google and Apple, which took effect on September 14. Google has been fined under that law. In response to the fine, Google said it would appeal.
