The ringtone was
heard immediately after buying the phone. There was also competition over how
good the car ringtone was. But now such a picture is not seen. How to listen to
a ringtone or compete with it, now many people do not use the ringtone.
Especially young people prefer to keep the phone silent.
The information also came up in the study. According to
these studies, young people are losing interest in ringtones. Many young people
also think that keeping the phone silent is a part of fashion.
According to a report in the British newspaper The Telegraph, most smartphone users between the ages of 18 and 24 are not using ringtones. They are using messaging apps instead of calling and feel more comfortable keeping the phone silent.
Analysts say the reason why young people prefer to keep their phones silent is that young people now spend more time on smart phones. As a result no additional words are required. They see any notification, message or call immediately. There is no need to use the ringtone as the phone is always nearby.
In addition, the popularity of devices like smart watches is increasing. Women in particular are more inclined towards this technology. Vibration can be understood on the wrist when a notification is received that the smart watch is connected to the smart phone. For this reason, even if you do not use the ringtone.
Censor Tower, a mobile app analyst, reports that downloads
of ringtone apps have dropped by 20 per cent in the UK over the past four
years. In 2016, ringtone apps were downloaded at 47 lakh, which has come down
to 36 lakh in 2020. Analysts believe that the download rate of ringtones may
decrease further in the future.
