The country is facing a political crisis following a
no-confidence motion against Pakistan's current Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Imran Khan is at risk of losing power. In such a situation, he called a meeting
with the National Security Council in the afternoon. The country's information
minister Fawad Chowdhury has confirmed this information. This information was
given in a report of Pakistan-based media Dawn on Thursday (March 31).
Fawad Chowdhury said in a tweet that the meeting would be
held at the Prime Minister's Office in the afternoon.
It is learned that the National Security Council has the
highest role to play in Pakistan's security issues. Several other ministers
will take part in it under the chairmanship of Imran Khan. Top intelligence
officials, including a national security adviser, will also be present.
Earlier, the Prime Minister issued a letter informing him of
the foreign conspiracy in the no-confidence motion against him. On the other
hand, he also held a cabinet meeting on the issue. However, Muttahida Qaumi
Movement-Pakistan and Balochistan Awami Party, one of the coalition partners in
the coalition government, did not join. Imran khan called a meeting with the
Security of Council.
Meanwhile, Imran Khan is falling behind in the no-confidence
vote in the fight to retain power. As the vote in Parliament approaches, the
gap between the votes is widening. According to a report on Geo TV on Thursday
morning, Imran has fallen behind by 199-142 votes.
But we have to wait till April 3 for the final result. There
is a possibility of a vote in the National Assembly on this day.
