The fear came true. England's T20 World Cup squad has been announced without Ben Stokes. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced that the 15-member all-rounder, who went into voluntary exile from cricket due to stress, is not in the squad.
In addition, due to injury, the speed star Joffra Archer did
not get a place in the World Cup squad. Despite wanting to return to the
limited-overs format, England's Test captain Joe Root has been ignored.
Timel Mills is the name of the team. This pacer has received
a call for the first time since February 2016. Mills has been named in the
World Cup squad for England's two domestic tournaments, the Vitality T20 Blast
and The Hundred.
This year's edition of the T20 World Cup will be held on the
field from October 16. England will begin their World Cup mission on October
23, with current world champions the West Indies in Dubai.
