Symptoms Of A Child's Headache Should Not Be Avoided

Symptoms Of A Child's Headache Should Not Be Avoided
All children are more or less naughty. Falling into play or getting body aches happens to all children! However, if the child suddenly falls and gets a headache, do not ignore it. Because a sudden head injury can cause great danger.

If the injury is severe, the child may lose his balance. The brain controls the whole body. So never avoid a baby head injury. The child may not be able to talk about his problem, but the parent should be careful.

If a child falls from a place, hits a wall or a heavy object on the head, it can cause various problems. Problems such as excessive pain, speech problems, inability to carry body weight, dizziness, vomiting, inability to walk properly, vision loss, fatigue, anxiety, memory loss, insomnia, weakness.

When the injury is severe, brain function decreases. This can lead to 'brain death'. There is also a risk of the facial paralysis. There may even be hemorrhage, head fracture, diffuse axonal injury. Experts say that blood vessels in children are thin and small. As a result, head injuries can be a serious problem.

What symptoms do you ignore?

  • If it is difficult to breathe after the injury.
  • It is difficult to speak or see.
  • If blood suddenly comes out through the nose, ears, mouth.
  • Excessive vomiting and convulsions
  • When the child becomes unconscious.

What to do in this case?

First, put the baby to bed and apply ice to the area of the head injury or swelling. When the skin is cut and blood comes out, hold the cut with a clean cloth to stop the bleeding.

Take the baby to the doctor as a soon as possible. If you see these symptoms, CT scan of the head should be done with the advice of a pediatric neurologist.

Even if the head injury is not serious, keep a close eye on the baby for the next 24 hours. In many cases the symptoms appear late.
