Today Amazing 15 Useful Digital Marketing Tools When You Have No Team

In this episode i'm going to share with you 15 of the most useful digital marketing tools to use in your business when you have no team whether you're just getting started or a solo entrepreneur or a solo marketer who everyone is counting on one thing is certain marketing especially when you're doing it alone can often feel overwhelming and complicated and frustrating and hiring people or bringing in additional help and support sometimes just isn't an option whether it's too time consuming or too expensive fortunately there are tools available that you can use to create better marketing campaigns faster than ever before so i'm going to walk you through 15 of my favorite tools now that you can get started with today and they work with pretty much any budget so let me show you how it's done starting with tool number one google docs now I appreciate on the surface google docs doesn't sound like a very exciting or new marketing tool but here's the deal with google docs the secret isn't so much the tool itself but rather how you use it.

Today Amazing 15 Useful Digital Marketing Tools When You Have No Team

To create marketing for me the power of google docs comes down to two different features first it makes it incredibly easy to collaborate on or to share my work with other people because even though you may be working on this all alone right now there is going to come a point where it's going to be helpful to have at least another set of eyes review what you've done next google docs lets me easily format and highlight and splice and dice my work so i can share it across a number of different platforms for example one of the first things i do is write out a blog post or a video script or any kind of long-form content then i simply go through it and i highlight different sections that might be good for a tweet or a social media post or maybe an interesting question to ask on an upcoming podcast this is powerful because it means that I can turn a single piece of content into five or ten or maybe even more different pieces of content just by splicing and dicing and sharing other sections from it alright the next tool that i suggest getting is grammarly is a spelling and grammar checker tool that basically makes sure that your content is well spell checked with good grammar.

I mean proper grammar it's fast and easy to install and you can use it for pretty much anything you create from blog posts to social media posts to emails and anything else of course i don't just stop there with proper spelling and good grammar i mean proper grammar which is why the next tool i recommend is the Hemingway app the Hemingway app is an amazing tool that i use to help make sure that all of my content is conversational and flows really well you see for most of my writing and most of the content that i create i try to keep it around a grade 6 reading level not because people are dumb but because by using big old fancy pants words well it just complicates and confuses the message in fact when i'm writing advertising of any kind i try to keep it at around a grade 4 reading level because i don't want confusing words or run-on sentences or too many random adverbs clogging things up and making it messy because messi doesn't make money I should write that down so once i've got my content written and formatted and spell checked correctly.

Well then i head on to my next tool which has quickly become probably one of the most important tools that i use in my entire digital marketing campaigns a little but incredibly powerful piece of software called metrocool  who were kind enough to sponsor this video and whose software has now become my number one secret weapon when it comes to creating more effective and more time efficient social media marketing campaigns allows you to take care of everything all in one place and it integrates with facebook instagram twitter linkedin tick tock google business pinterest and youtube twitch facebook ads google ads tic talk ads and data center basically all the things creating a post and posting it to multiple different networks is as easy as just clicking create posts and then dragging it to the best time slot but where things get really interesting is what happens after you post and this is what really separates the amateurs from the pros and that is all about using analytics and data to help you make better and more informed strategic digital marketing decisions using the metrical analytics that i get i can manage and analyze and measure and monitor everything that's happening and i can see what's working so i can do more of it and what's not working.

So I can change it stop doing it all together not only this but i can also track and monitor my competitors data as well as look back over my own historical posting so i can see what worked in the past so i can do it again it's powerful and you can get started for free today so make sure to check out the link in the descriptions below this video next up we have canva and canva is an amazing tool to help you create all kinds of different design assets from simple social media posts to info graphics to presentations to banners to ads to a whole lot more they have a nifty background remover tool that allows you to remove the background from any of your photos which makes it amazing for social media and all kinds of different tweaks and edits and formatting changes that you can make with the colors and the fonts and the overall design so it matches your brand perfectly they also have some photos and some graphics that you can use in their free plan but one of the best sources i've found for more photos for all of your marketing is a website called unsplash i've been using unsplash for years and with over 2 million high quality images the odds are pretty good you're going to find something that fits exactly what you're looking for no matter what you need or what story you're trying to tell again.

The odds are good you're gonna find a photo there the good news is it's free the bad news is it's free let me explain you see because it's free and because the quality is so good well it means that a whole lot of other people tend to be using these images as well which makes it a little bit harder to stand out and differentiate yourself if you're using the same photo as everybody else and that's why the next tool that i love and i use multiple times throughout my day every single day is envato elements envato elements is a literal digital treasure chest of valuable assets pretty much anything you can think of that you would need to create a better and more effective digital marketing campaign you can find here they have photos of course but they also have stock video and music and sound effects there's wordpress themes and graphics and graphic templates there's fonts and presentation templates and even 3d objects i use them a lot to help me find relevant b-roll for my videos and i use their photo shop templates to help me create mock-ups for any products or ads that i'm creating speaking of creating a whole bunch of different things well you're going to need a way to keep everything organized and that's why the next tool i want to recommend is notion notion is one of my secret addictions that i don't spend a whole lot of time talking about but it plays a very important role in my business i started using it a while ago to help keep my thoughts and my ideas and my notes organized and i was first introduced to it by thirty  forte in one of his courses called building a second brain great course by the way.

Anyway since then it's evolved into a core part of the business and really helps with all of the project tracking and essentially a corm ah free corm notion is where i keep projects tracked and organized it's where i list expenses and income i store important assets and resources here as well as keep a running list of my notes and my to-do list it also has a thriving community of notion fan boys really people that just love notion and so they're constantly coming up with new and innovative ideas and solutions and templates that you can use some for free and some paid so on the topic of keeping your digital marketing organized let's move on to my next tool which is one password one password is a literal lifesaver help me one password help me essentially it's a place to store and keep all of my passwords safe so instead of needing to remember a million different passwords i just have to remember my main login for one password and then it automatically populates all of the logins that i have it's clean it's simple and it works across all of my devices and it saves me a ton of time because best practices today in order to be safe and secure to make sure that you're using a different login and a different password for all of your online assets but good luck remembering all those so now instead of constantly having to hit forgot password and re-go.

Through that process i just log into one password problem solved okay next a totally random tool but one that I absolutely love and has made my life that much better and more productive it's called install paper and it's a web clipper that allows you to save different posts or articles or websites or anything else that you may want to review later if you're the kind of person with like a thousand different tabs open that you'll get to one day this is for you more importantly it's a huge time saver and it helps to make sure that i'm always consuming high quality content because anytime i come across something that i think would be useful or valuable i simply save it to install paper and then the next time i have a spare five or ten minutes rather than doom scrolling through social media I just pull up install paper and there high quality stuff to read okay next a powerful marketing tool that every solo marketer or solo entrepreneur needs if they want to start ranking higher in the search engines se ranking is my go-to tool these days for all things seo i use it to audit both my own site as well as my clients and sometimes even my students to help find the areas that we could improve to improve our rankings.

The point is if you're creating content and you should be well then you should also be optimizing it for the search engines of course trying to do that manually is well impossible so see ranking helps to automate this and provide everything that you need to optimize and to improve and track your rankings and all of that from one easy to use dashboard not much more to say on this one it's really good especially for the price that said if you're looking for a comprehensive a to z overhaul a complete seo strategy that makes sure that no stone goes unturned well the next tool is for you a little tool called seo buddy what a special name you know that friend you had back in school you know the one that kept perfect notes always knew what was going to be up on the test and everything was highlighted and categorized and neatly organized well that friend is seo buddy it's a complete checklist and guide that allows you to optimize any site quickly and easily seo buddy is one of my go-to resources any time that i'm training a new search engine optimizer or seo or i'm trying to show someone what they need to do and all the steps they need to take in order to rank well anything okay next a little tool that not a lot of people know about thanks.io is a direct mail software as in old school.

Pen and paper physical mail the kind of thing that you get in your mailbox and actually hold and feel and read and it's awesome here's how it works after signing up for thanks. i all you need to do is upload a list this could be a mailing list of your clients or customers or some other mailing list that you get someplace else then just choose a design that you want on your postcard or how you want to format your letter write out whatever you want to say and then thanks. i takes care of the rest you can use it to send either one-off promotions or single cards or single letters or you can schedule entire automated campaigns if you've never done direct mail marketing before consider this your invitation to this grossly underused and under-appreciated medium next is rev.com and is another tool that i use all of the time and is also a literal lifesaver help merev.com help me i use rev.com in a number of different ways that helps me save a ton of time the first way is that i use it to turn voice notes and memos into text so anytime that i have an idea or a new concept or something that I want to record and get out there i can simply record it into my phone and then rev.com turns it into text so i can literally just copy and paste it.

Wherever i want to post it i also use it to transcribe important zoom meetings with clients or to create captions and subtitles for different  Article the beauty of that is that i can then take say a podcast episode or a Article have it transcribed and now i've got social media posts as well as a blog post or possibly an article it's powerful stuff i tell you okay time for my next secret weapon though to be honest i think i've said that more than once in this episode but that's only because if you're a solo entrepreneur or a solo marketer you simply can't afford to not leverage these powerful tools and technologies in your business so this next tool is a true crowd pleaser and has been adopted by pretty much every single person that i've recommended it to except for Steve what's up Steve why you got to be like that the tool i'm talking about is loom and it's a powerful recording device that allows you to record your webcam your screen share as well as your microphone all in one i use loom as a powerful way to stay in touch with clients and customers and provide a more personalized touch i also use it to quickly document sops or standard operating procedures in my business.

As well as communicate with contractors to help show them exactly what i'm looking for of course all of the best tools in the world don't mean anything if you're not starting with a solid digital marketing strategy first and this is why the next thing you're going to want to do is check out the Article that i've got linked up right here on digital marketing strategy so make sure to check it out now and i'll see in the next episode all right the next thing that'll really help you become a better digital marketer is to understand the differences between strategy and tactics and when to use them strategy is all the big picture stuff this is.
