There is no information that search engines like Google do not know. Google's search box has revolutionized not only the Internet, but also the way people live their daily lives. Where starting from the latest information, the diary of a few thousand years ago also matches in a few seconds. It's like a magic wand.
Google was officially born on September 4, 1997, to two
young Americans. One is Larry Page, the other is Sergei Brin. Both began
working with Google when they were PhD students at Stanford University. Google
has become the largest search engine in the world today, thanks to the
indomitable will and the constant addition and subtraction of new ones.
In addition to
Google's search services, there are Google Doc, Sheet & Slides, Gmail,
Google Calendar, Cloud Storage, Google Plus, Instant Messaging & Video
Chat, Google Hangouts, Google Translate, Google Maps, YouTube, Google Keep and
many more. Google runs around one million servers in various data centers
around the world. About 500 crore search requests come to Google's search box
every day. Not only that, Google currently processes about 24 petabytes of data
per day.
Recently Larry Page and Sergey Brin spoke openly with an
international news outlet about the birth history of Google. "We've always
felt that there was a business potential for such an initiative," said
Sergey Brin, recalling the memory. But at that time is our idea was to create a
very good of the search engine, and the reach as many people as possible.
In the words of the Larry Page, ‘Our mission was to
streamline the world’s information, where are people from all over the world
could enter, everyone would that benefit. I thought it would be a great thing
for the whole world. "
By the time Larry and Brin started working with Google,
there was no such thing as a search engine. It was quite a hassle to find something
on the internet so easily. Even then, if you wanted to find something on the
internet, you had to find it by hand-made index. It was then that Larry and
Brin realized that when someone was looking for a web page, it had to be not
only relevant, but also valuable in the eyes of previous users.
Before Google, Page and Brin launched a search engine called
backrab. Backrab was so that popular at the time that Stanford's internet often
the crashed, unable to cope with the pressure. It was at this time that its two
founders, Larry and Sergei, thought the company needed a new name. That’s why
they sat in a ‘brainstorming’ meeting. That's where the Google name is
suggested.
That name is also written on the white board of Stanford University. The Google.com domain name was of registered on the September 15, 1997. The shortly afterwards, the first Google Doodle came out a change in the Google logo that to reminds us of a particular person, the event or day. The first doodle was of a burning man - meaning the Page and Brin went on a trip to the Nevada 'Burning Man’ the festival. Such an idea became very popular among the common people. Because they have never seen this before.
However, the biggest advantage of Google is its interface.
Where you write a word or two, the information comes. As a result, the size of
the shareholders of this company is increasing day by day. Then in 2004 Google
moved to their new headquarters, called Google plex. That same year the company
was listed on the stock market.
Nowadays Google has become one with our lives. They are
making hundreds of the billions of the dollars from to advertising. But they
always had a good purpose. That is to make it easier for ordinary people to use
information.
